How to Hit Backhand Dinks in Pickleball

Description:

Steve Dawson

On this particular drill, one player should hit cross-court backhand dinks to their partner. The idea is to look for a ball to your backhand that you can attempt to hit a forehand on an attack.

The player hitting the dinks to their partner should do their best to eliminate a backhand by using footwork, not letting a backhand happen, and instead turning the backhand into a powerful forehand attack. It’s just a quick step to the left and a backhand dink turns into a forehand attack.
