A great, fun way, to get four players involved in a skill-building drill is to have the ball go around in circles instead of back and forth across the net. In this drill, the ball is not meant to hit the ground. You should hit the ball up to yourself and tap it to your partner in a circular direction.
This sort of distorts the brain a little bit because you’re supposed to hit the ball back and forth across the net. But such skills are necessary in pickleball. When you have to change directions, cross a court, and move to other spots, you have to think outside the box.
