Tips for Hitting Reflex Volleys in Pickleball

Description:

When hitting reflex volleys, avoid pushing the pickleball over the net. This causes it to rise, giving your opponent a chance to attack. Instead, use your paddle to absorb the pace and keep the ball low, so you can reset the ball into your opponent’s kitchen.

To practice this technique, stand at the kitchen line as another player hits drive balls at you. Use proper blocking technique to return the ball to the Non-Volley Zone on the other side of the net.
