On this video, we will be looking at techniques used when hitting hard, powerful third shot drives. Third shot drive technique really should be technique that you reinforce every time you serve the ball. When you serve the ball, you have a nice big windup, you’re using your forehand, you’re stepping into the court, and you’re generating a nice hard serve. The third shot drive should be a duplicate of technique that you use when you serve.
Proper third shot drive technique is turning sideways, planning your front foot, transferring your weight into the body, and making sure that the back swing and follow through are big, long, and as powerful as they can.
