Welcome to “Pilates for Pickleball,” a specialized video series designed to enhance your pickleball performance through targeted Pilates exercises. Led by expert instructor Shannon Willits, this series focuses on improving strength, flexibility, and balance, with each exercise tailored to meet the unique physical demands of pickleball players.

Shannon Willits brings her extensive Pilates knowledge and passion for pickleball together to guide you through a variety of exercises that will help you move better on the court, reduce injury risk, and boost your overall athletic performance. Throughout this series, you’ll explore movements that enhance core stability, increase rotational strength, improve balance, and stretch and strengthen key muscle groups used in pickleball. From foundational stretches like the Standing Calf Stretch to dynamic movements like the Sumo Pivot with a Punch, Shannon ensures that each exercise is accessible, effective, and directly beneficial to pickleball players.

A little more about Shannon:

Shannon has always had an active role in the exercise field, but in the late 1990’s she took her first Pilates class and her passion was ignited. Exchanging her high heels for bare feet, Shannon embarked on learning with STOTT Pilates®. Later she did a fellowship at the renowned Gray Institute in Applied Functional Science® and went on to become a Functional Golf Specialist. Her latest educational addition is a certification in the Gyrotonics® system. Shannon is a Master Pilates Educator, Master Trainer for a fascia foam rolling technique, MELT Method practitioner, writer for Health & Wellness Lee County Magazine and more.

Beyond her education, Shannon takes a personal and professional interest in rotational sports. Starting with Pilates for Golfers and now, her functionally integrated, Pilates for Pickleball. Shannon can be found at pilates-pickleball.com or on her YouTube Channel: Shannon Willits.

Shannon is the proud owner of 4 (and growing) Club Pilates located in Lee County Florida. Shannon’s mission is Pilates for Everybody.
